Dublin Airport
Having tendered with several EU and Ireland-based companies, Bull Signs was awarded the contract for the implementation of the Directional, Information and Wayfinding sign system, including statutory and back of house requirements, for the new International terminal in Dublin.
During the design and prototyping process the specification was revised to include the provision of LED technology for illuminating all the signs, making this terminal totally 'green' in respect of energy use. The contract ran for over 12 months with a near continuous presence on site. Almost 10,000 signs were produced at Bull Signs' factory near Gatwick Airport - these were transported to site in batches to coincide with the progress of the Terminal construction. Within the same timeframe, Bull Signs was also appointed to provide the retail signage for 15 bespoke retail units in the lounge, which were again manufactured incorporating the new energy-saving technology.
